Perfect add on for display to you regular size collection! No problems--Says Made in Japan. in blue on bottom. (So after 1918)
PLATE IS 3 INCHES ACROSS Little cup is 1 & 1/8 inches high --- across the top of cup 2 inches--Both have same pattern and plate marked "Made In Japan" in blue under the glaze----- Vintage item. Cup handle decorated all the way down Very nice appearing!

Yes they were popular play set for children. Maybe you should get this in the event you drop one. Not that easy to replace. Each cup & saucer individually goes between $7.00 and $12.00 on eBay in this deep and true Blue Willow. Sets were made later, in less appealing, lighterweight. type In the size you mention, Done it this item, You'd not be able to pick up your box with ease. This was soooo popular!

I recall seeing that set in store windows, (the 50s--is that right) I was too old for a set but it seemed very cute. Nowdays everything is plastic IF girls even want to play tea time any more. I was born in 1937 and have seen an amazing diffrernce in "play-time" today! Remember the Tin Tea Sets too? They rusted and bent.

I remember. I was born in 58 I loved it. I had a metal kitchen cabinet that I kept them in with red knobs. Looked like the old Hoosier cabinets
