yes....that is what the box is, an external hard drive....google Sabrent Hard Drive and it will explain much better than I can :)

The black cord in the picture plugs into the hard drive, the box on the end then needs a 3 prong power cord that I do not have which can be purchased at Wal-Mart or anywhere else you want to get it. You will also need to get the cord that goes from the hard drive to your computer which Walmart also has....you will just have to take it with you to match up the plug in....it is very simple to do and you can Google Sabrent to see any other info you may need. Sabrent makes enclosures for hard drives but not one with the hard drive already in it. So the question is, does this enclosure come with a hard drive already installed and if so what brand is the hard drive? Sabrent's web site clearly shows that they do not make enclosures with the hard drive in them so I wanted to be clear on this auction before I placed a bid. Thanks for your response. The man I got this from told me this has a 150 GB Hard Drive already installed. Because I did not install it or hook it up I have no idea what kind (the man is a preacher so I do feel I can trust him to tell me the truth). Hope this helps :)

Okay here is the update: This is a Western Digital Caviar drive in a Sabrent Hard Drive case. Just connect the USB wire to your computer, plug in the power cord and switch it on. Hope this helps with all the questions :)

I just emailed the preacher to make sure he is the one that downloaded the hard drive and to see what kind it is. I will post an update as soon as I get an answer from him :)
