Description

The listing, 2 1964 Washington Quarter 90% Silver has ended.

1964 Washington Quarter 90% Silver.
The coin on the left side has wonderful detail.
This coin had been cleaned and its very good condition.
You won't be sorry for bidding and adding this coin to your collection or melt it.
Coin in on the right is very worn, no date is visible at all, but it is obviously silver, 1964 or earlier.

There is no hint of copper anywhere. Its sterling too because I clean both of the coins and it shines ;) good luck if you want to bid or not.

Congrats on the new baby. They are mixed blessings. During the bad times, just remember, they go away and in general, you'll remember the wonderful times more. But the bad times are fun for when they grow up and you want to embarrass them. Its a parents' job to embarrass them especially when they have kids of their own and they're complaining their own kids are misbehavin'. and kids are a means to grandkids and thats when it becomes really fun. So cherish the baby and ask for help when you need it. God Bless!

when you flip a quarter or dime on its side, it isn't silver if there is a streak of copper in the middle. And silver coins have this hue to them that new ones never could. I was making chicken deliveries when we came across a tip from someone of 36 silver dimes. It was different from regular and they just stand out. Unfortunately my kid, a preteen at time found them and traded them for ice cream or something. His older siblings had all done same thing so if you got kids and old coins keep them away from each other. Thats how most old coins wind up back in circulation, stolen or taken so watch them. Good luck on your auction.

I was gonna tell you that once a coin is cleaned it looses its antique value but I see several others including your hubby said so. So just ignore my comment. You can wash off dirt in a light soapy water but don't scrub. Any cleaner does devalue them. I never heard of the toothpaste one. A matter of no fluoride, I guess. White paste toothpaste also is a painter's trick for filling in small holes in walls from nails.. Thanks for your auction. And good luck.

Never clean coins. If they are really bad you can use toothpaste that does not contain flouride (i know i spelled that wrong, but you know what I mean). It does not contain harsh elements that will scrach the coin.

I will remember that. I have no idea I just want it to be more attractive that's why I thought if I cleaned it it would look better lol

Just for your information when you have old coins it is better to not clean them and if you have to never use harsh chemicals. Most coin dealers will tell you there worth more just as they are.Again great auction I will be bidding as soon as my credits are freed up.Good luck !!!
