The listing, LEGENDS PRESENTS A VERY UNUSUAL AVON VINTAGE NECKLACE IN BLUES/GREENS has ended.
Now comes the fun part....describing this very unusual Avon vintage necklace. I don't know exactly how old it is and I don't think I will venture a guess either. But I know it has been around for quite awhile. It is a slide necklace that measures about 19 inches in total and the slides measure about 14 1/2 inches in length. It has a lobster claw clasp and an extender built in that can be used to lengthen the necklace if desired. On the back of one of the slides it is marked Avon SP. I cannot tell if the individual pieces are glass or polymer or what, but they are very unusual. The larger blue pieces (sorry, can't think of a better word) have what looks like a daisy pressed into them...the daisy is higher in relief. Then there are some smaller, round blue pieces with the same daisy relief pressed in. Accents in a more Aqua color are some round slides with a mirrored effect. And lastly there are some greenish blue slides with a glittery look in them. Boy, I didn't know how difficult this description was going to be...but I digress! But I can say with certainty, you won't see many, if any, like this..it is that unusual. There is no silver in it and I don't know what kind of alloy is holding the "stones". You know, I can tell you more about what it isn't than what it is. All of the stones are in perfect shape, no chips or dings. I don't think my pictures do the necklace justice, but I think you can get a farily good idea of how it looks in person! I love vintage items and wonder what they have seen over the years and what stories they could tell. If you like blues and greens...if you like slide necklaces...if you like vintage Avon...and if you like the unusual...I would venture to say you will really like this necklace. Feel free to ask questions....can't swear I will be able to answer them, but I will definitely give it my best shot. Of course, this will ship free to the lucky winner. Good luck and have fun. And have a Listian Day!!!
