Yes, I use stock photos when things I'm auctioning are brand new and in the package. I seldom open a package just to take pics.

Why not add a picture of the sealed brand new box sitting on your table or couch etc.. so we know you actually have the item at your house.. thats what I do.. I agree the stock photos are better but I always include one "real" photo of the item in its original sealed box.. that lets the bidders know you actually have the item in your possession.. just a suggestion.. You could include a photo bucket link of the actual item since you cant add it to t he auction.. ..

Do you know how much all the cartridges would cost for this and approx. how many pages it will print before needing to buy more ink? I'm currently shopping for a printer and need one that does well on ink as I currently purchase new cartridges for my crappy printer every 4 days.

I read that the standard 8.5-inch-by-11-inch scanner bay sits directly above the ink bay that houses the internal print head and its corresponding inks. The printer ships with five separate ink cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and a pigment black for photos. Using the advertised prices on the Canon Web site ($13 each for color and $15 for pigment black), you'll pay approximately 3 cents per color page and 4 cents for a page of pigment black ink.

No I wasnt worried.I was just trying to figure out if you actually had the printer in hand or if it was being shipped directly from the manufacturer.. that was all.. actually my mom is in the market for a new printer.. that was it.. and I didnt mean for you to open the box.. but a picture of the box with the pic of the printer was what I was referring to.. sorry for the confusion..

No confusion. You probably don't recall that I didn't have a picture of the Sandisk you won from me in the box in my home either. I used stock pics for that also. My low mega pixel camera isn't the best. And it doesn't have anti shake capabilities. But I'll have a new camera soon.

In an earlier comment I answered "yes" when asked if this printer has fax, copy and scan capabilities. I have since learned that it does NOT have fax capabilities. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
