This is My Yearly Breast Cancer Support & Awareness Auction. Each year I do the Komen's Walk for the Cure for the fight and finding of a cure for breast cancer.

5 Quick Facts about Breast Cancer:

1. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
2. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
3. Breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death among women.
4. ~220,000 women in the US are diagnosed w/breast cancer & 40,000 will die.
5. Breast Cancer in men is rare, but, an estimated 2,150 men will be diagnosed w/breast cancer this year and ~410 will die from it.

BUT THE MOST PHENOMINAL FACT IS THIS: At this time there are more than 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States because of awareness, prevention, early testing and money raised to find a cure!

This is amazing. I will be watching and bidding. I just went last week for my very first mammogram because the doc found a few lumps. And I'm just turning 32 next Tuesday. So yes ladies really don't understand that you can actually get breast cancer at any age. But I must say this don't be afraid to have a mammogram done. I freaked out bad when I went last week and yes it's not comfortable feeling but I can say it's not as scary as you think. When it was over I was like wow that's it. So ladies please have them done they can really be a life saver no joke and it's not that bad.

A co-worker and friend got her Mammogram call today....found something, needs to go back in. She is scared to death b/c she has already beat THREE different kinds of cancer!! So...I am bidding...and praying with Iris on my heart today!

F&W...My mother is going through her reconstructive surgery. She lost one of her breasts 15 years ago. She just got over her second time having to go through chemo treatments about a year ago. Seeing her going through the the side affects of radiation/chemo, made me realize that everyone who has to fight and conquer cancer are both the strongest and heroic people.

Amen! Enough said....that why us healthy people have to fight for a cure for them! Cause they are doing the REAL work! That is why I am such a big advocate for support & awareness! Everyone shud do the closest walk or race to them! I stand at the finish line in amazement at the Survivors & Warriors that come thru the finish line! U have got to experience that feeling of seeing all the ladies that are determined that this horrible disease won't take ANYMORE from them!

When they found mine, even though the were fibrous, it was enough to scare me into doing all I could for spreading the word about prevention and awareness and walking for a cure!

Hi sweetie, I won't understand ANY of it if I had lost that many family members to it! I would probably run and hide from the world! Lol not really but I am going to send u an inbox message later today, I would love to here from u. & loved one back to u so u di...morning noon or dead of night....if u need to just talk, scream, shout, or to just know there is a live warm around u, even if for just a few minutes! If there were stairs in heaven....I word walk right up there and bring ur Mom & loved ones right back to u to spare u this pain! An early detection magnet is a magnet to hang on the fridge to remind u that early detection is the best prevention and to do ur yearly mammogram and self exams! The worst question is the one not asked! I bet a lot of others did know what it was either! I WILL inbox u later today. Driving today and had to pull over to see if I could try and put at least a small smile on ur face today!

We were married in November 2012, and it was while we were on our honeymoon my sweet mama was diagnosed. I totally understand that fear you felt. My daughter flipped. It was a horrible wait to find out if she did or didn't. God has truly blessed you and this world with your heartfelt love for mankind. Oh yes please do use the motto! I hope to have it on a T-shirt for auction soon! When u do the walks u get lots of stuff to give away and I do the auctions with the stuff, then I donate other stuff to the oncology center here that I buy with the gift cards made from the auction. Like socks and gloves because the chemo makes the patients cold, makeup, water bottles, etc.!

Hi, I'm a 17 yr. Breast cancer survivor, I went through everything, 6 months of chemo & 6 weeks of radiation. I am also recovering from Lung cancer I had 5 months ago.The drs. took a piece of my upper left lung. No chemo or radiation. Thank God!!..I had to let you know. Candia
