the colors are much more vivid than my camera shows

the bottom has a 6 inch black bottom, some is underneath the skirt and some peeks out

the pattern and material (a cotton type blend) cannot be seen through

I will tell you that this skirt measures approx. 40 inches from the very top to the very bottom - it is your choice whether you want to wear it with the top of the skirt at your waist or pull it up high like a serving wench - the part you see where it laces is elastic all the way around so you could do either

I will call the part where you see that it laces approx. 27 inches all around unstretched, however, there is a lot of stretch to this and it depends upon whether you want to wear it high or low
