Description

The listing, Small but taste 1 desirable pecan & 1 large Amling pecan tree seedling! has ended.

Pictures coming very soon.

I have been selling the seedlings from
8"-1' foot from my mothers house for years in my home town... I have decided to try listia & see how they do here.

The will be mail bare root, wrapped in wet paper towels & roots put into a plastic bag to keep fresh till you get it. I will also wrap it in card board to try & help it from post office bending it! Sometimes the travel is hard on live plants & leaves may fall off. Please do not be alarmed cuz they will grow back. These are very delicious nuts. Great for salad, pecan pies & much more.

As soon as it arrives please put in a glass of water for a day or two incase it arrives in shock from the travels. After a few days you can either plant it in a pot & let it spring back in the shaded place for a week or so. You can either keep it in a pot & move it to a bigger pot every 6 weeks till your ready to move to it's spot in your yard. You can also put it into your yard when it arrives just try to cover it with some shade & water daily for about a week then you can water every other day for 2 or 3 weeks & taper down to 1 or 2 times a week. Do not water leaves in the sun... They will dry up & die. Only water the root. Any questions please ask. I love helping if I can.

More about pecan tree:

Desirable:
Indigenous to Mississippi but found across the south, Desirable pecan trees are appropriately named as they produce a large yield of pecans and effectively pollinate other varieties of pecan trees.

Ambling pecan is aprox. 3/4" by 2 " long gr8 eating.

Thanks & happy bidding. Please watch for another type of pecan tree coming soon. If bidding on others please let me know & I will ship all together when your done... Just let me know. All free shipping so bid, bid, bid!

I just wanted to clarify...is this listing for one or two trees?

You get two trees... One is a smaller shaped pecan called Desirable & the other is a larger nut called Amling. Both are great tasting nuts & give a bunch of pecans if there is two planted lots of people say. So I decided to auction two instead of one like I did last time. Thanks for asking & good luck if you decide to bid. :)

Are these hard or paper shell pecans? Thanks. Oh, how many years before you get pecans?

It takes the normal pecan tree 5-8 years to give there 1st produce but I have found that putting fruit spikes in them the give a lil sooner. These are both very EZ to break open with two pecans them self. Not being sure if you need two or not to give nuts... I decided to put 2 different trees on here. I'm going to be listing a small container with some pecans from our harvest which can be given as lil gifts along with new pecan crackers... Be looking for them soon. Thanks

What a great idea and so healthy for our Mother Earth and all us critters. Thanks!
They are native in the mid-dessert of Arizona too. Great source of protein.

I have a huge cottonwood or sycamore tree now sure which it is cuz everyone calls it one or the other. Lol I need to look up that leaf & figure it out. I know one thing it's starts very EZ from clippings & it grows about 10 feet a year. I had it in a 1 gallon pot for 4 years til I decided where I wanted some shade... Then I took off. It's about 4 years in the yard & it grown 40 feet tall or more & sounds so beautiful when it's Wendy.
