The listing, LEGENDS PRESENT AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING VINTAGE AVON BROOCH. SUBTLE, YET GRABS ATTENTION has ended.

This is going to be very difficult for me to describe, so I am going to count on the pictures to help immensely!!!. I'm not even sure I can come up with a color. It has stones that look like Marcasites, but larger than any Marcasites I have ever seen. So, since they look like Marcasites I would call them a silver/gray color. This piece has amber colored faceted stones as well as clear crystals. The brooch looks like two large flowers at about 10:00 (northwest?) and is set off with ribbons covered in either the amber stones or the crystal stone. It is a very graceful piece. I have looked very closely and cannot find ANY missing stones, OR any stones that are loose. A word of warning...this piece is too heavy to be pinned on a silk blouse. To me, it would need a more substantial place to be pinned, such as a suit jacket. But I don't think you will find a brooch any more unique yet delicate looking...especially for its size. It is a whopping 2 1/2 inches by almost 3 inches of sparkle and grace. i do not know exactly how old it is, but it was considered vintage when I purchased it several years ago, and it hasn't gotten any younger!!!

I will try to answer any questions you may have. The ONLY reason I am parting with it is that I just don't wear it and it sits in my jewelry box day after day wanting to come out and show off. I just don't have the wardrobe to do it justice. All I can say is that it is an absolutely lovely pin and whomever gets it will be very lucky indeed!

Don't take the chance of losing it because you were waiting until the end of the auction to bid. I have kicked myself several times by doing that and forgetting to be at the computer when it ended.

This Brooch is stunning and I don't even wear brooches!! I have never seen one so full of life, doesn't it seem to just call you? hehe, it is a lovely piece maybe I can win it and save it for a christmas gift, I sure my grandma would love it and absoloutely show it off!! Watching & bidding soon!!

If the rantings were substantiated I would be the first to jump on the bandwagon, but without proof, count me out! They say calling someone "skinny" is just like calling someone "fat"; however, in my book I'll take "skinny" over "fat" anyday. To me that is a huge compliment. I guess if I had trouble putting on the weight I might understand it better. I have actually been called "skinny" recently and I thought they were off their rocker, so to speak.
