Oh yeah! I've discussed that with more than one of my friends on here. A lot of us used to love bidding on gift cards, and the greed and the rip-off factor have just gone through the roof! Anyone with any decency has just been completely turned off by it and feels the same. I used to get so many of my jewelry supplies with gift cards...

I've met a few really awesome, great, and generous gift card sellers that were willing to let me gin at a decent amount. For that I am forever grateful, but the majority of them are just downright greedy. Though in the month that I've been back on, I've gotten a lot of my baby registry items from gift cards that I won on here, so that's awesome. To see people advertise "low gins" and the gin is 5x the amount of the gift card. Get out, who are you kidding with that low gin crap. LOL

I hear ya! LOL And yes, I, too, have had a few people that I have been able to get gift cards for a reasonable amount of credits, but now Listia is making them begin their auctions at huge credit amounts and then taking 10% of that amount off the top. I read that on a couple of people's (friends) sites who will no longer auction gift cards. I am so happy that you were able to get some at a decent rate, especially for your upcoming birth-do you know if boy or girl? You may have said, and I missed it. I'm not on as much as I used to be.
I also see where you lost your job due to budget cuts! Yuck! That really sux. Amanda (I think you remember her as my daughter P) just lost her Store Manager position at Office Max/Office Depot/Staples due to the same, plus those two mergers and each store's District Managers having their preferences. She received a decent severance package, but I'm so afraid she'll ***** around too long and then suddenly realize that "Oops! I'm out of money and need a new job ASAP!" Especially with a teen girl and an 8 year boy! The cost of maintaining them just keeps getting higher and higher, as I'm sure you know just from general experience!
Well, I'm debating on whether to put together a destash auction-which I really need to do LOL or working on a separate custom request for jewelry I have received and/or remaking my adopted granddaughter's bracelet. Yup, Jim now has two grandchildren of his own. And gosh are we both getting old~me and Jim, I mean. ;)

Another boy. :) Lots of fun, lol. I'm just gonna be a boy mom, I guess, because I don't think we'll try again. Two is plenty for me.
Yeah, it was only a part time job but having the extra income and "my own" money was nice. My last day is Friday and I'm sad because I really enjoyed the work and my coworkers. Thank God my husband has a decent job and losing my job won't be a huge set back for us, it just sucks!
I gotta get the kiddo out for some fresh air. We're finally getting some nice weather here in grand ol Minnesota, so have to take advantage of that while it lasts. I'd list more auctions, but I'm going to visit family next week so I won't be able to ship for a while after these I have up! :)
