I was born left handed. My mother trained me to use my right, so i wouldn't be made fun of and/or it would be easier using things. After becoming an artist, taking psychology I discovered most artists are born using their left hand. I have struggled with a mantra "right hand good, left hand bad" all my life. After taking a visual thinking class I discovered I am quite ambidextrous. However I still don't paint with my left hand. I probably should. Anyway this particular piece is done with my left hand, not my "practiced" right, because I burned my right hand grabbing a cup from a microwave oven. So this is the result of that injury and pain.
