I can see a mark or something there on the bottom left hand side of the photo of the reverse side, below the star, between "UNITED" and "CENTS", I just can't read it clearly. Looks most like a "D" to me. You might want to look again, the D is worth more than the plain.

I did not notice that before but it is a 1912D. I purchased it at an auction and it was listed as just a 1912.
