Hi I understand that fan doesn't come with the stand but I have a question. How do you place the fan on its stand and get it to stay. I have a few fans with stands but I have no idea how to place them so they stay.

The stand has a drop down in the middle & you just angle it across , not even but sort of in front & behind & should hold up. Not sure which one you have. But this wood style is good, cost around $6.00. But I prefer the plastic easel type and is more expensive.

I think I figured out he trick. Is your fan loose and closes easily or stiffer and stays open without holding it open?
Mine is loose and I'm betting that's why it won't stay on the stand.
