I just put a SPRINT phone on walmarts straight talk plan, so yes you can use it thru them. You have to buy a network access code at Walmart for $7 in order to switch, so it is possible!!!

Nice auction and good luck! Now people will know you can switch a Sprint phone, lol!!!

If you read my description I in no way said it can be used on all networks. I said it will be reset to factory settings and that it was a sprint phone with no SIM card. It sid not misrepresent this phone in any way. Orhers were trying to say it could be unlocked. I called Sprint and they gave me an unlock code but would not tell me how to do it or if it wwould even work. Now, if you want a good working Galaxy S3 SPRINT phone then here it is. If you aren't sure, don't bid. I made it clear enough in the listing. Period. So the boy genius that left the 15 minute comment obviously didn't read the description and was just showing off his large brain. Yippee. Have a nice day. I might just cancel this auction and sell the thing on craigs list. Would be better off all the way around.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by your comment as I inquired about nothing. It is obvious you fail to recognize the intent of my comment as well as the favor I did you by posting it. Do you not realize you are getting questions that you don't know the answers to because people are too lazy to Google the information or to call the company with whom they wish to use the phone or do you just not care? I went through this process twice, for 21 days each, repeatedly being asked both questions that the person could Google just as easily as I, as well as questions already asked and answered. I was trying to be of some help, but I believe that was completely lost on you. Wow!

In response to "adelaud". You are incorrect in your statement that this phone unlocked can be used, as you implied, on any network. Sprint is a completely different breed and that this rhymes with greed is kind of funny, but I digress. All cell phones that bear the name Sprint are made SPECIFIC to Sprint and irregardless of whether or not they have a SIM card as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Notes 2, 3 and 4 do, they can not be used on any other network. Page Plus is the only "straight talk network" of which I am aware a Sprint phone can be flashed to work. Having said that, Sprint has moved to becoming a Straight Talk network and as such has plans competitive with Walmart's.

Sprint and Verizon run on CDMA networks whereas AT&T and T-Mobile run on GSM. Both AT&T and T-Mobile phones are interchangeable insofar as the ability to work on either network, because they run on GSM networks. I copied and pasted what follows to better help interested parties understand, which should help with all questions but not with the folks who don't take time to read previous comments:

"The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon can all be used on all three carriers, but they lack Sprint's special LTE bands. Sprint iPhones have all the bands, but Sprint has STRICT UNLOCKING POLICIES. Nexus 6 phones will technically work on all four carriers, but Sprint only allows phones purchased from Google or Sprint on its network. HTC One (M8) and Samsung Galaxy S5 phones from Verizon will work somewhat on AT&T's and T-Mobile's networks, albeit with limited coverage because while they have CDMA, GSM and LTE, they don't have all the frequency bands AT&T and T-Mobile use. Variants of those same models sold by AT&T and T-Mobile won't work on Verizon at all, because they lack the CDMA radio needed for Verizon. It's a mess."

Good luck with your auction and I hope this helps!

If it was me you were referring to me "as showing off my big brain" I Googled the information then copied and pasted, in a very obvious failed attempt to help you. I am sorry you did not view it as such but defensive people with small brains are threatened by things they imagine. You are truly an idiot.

Why are you still trying to justify your existence. No one cares. Get over your self and your big brain. I have a life. Do you?

Then you are the only one who can ask your service provider to unlock it. They will do it if the contract is complete. You have to request from them to unlock the phone and they will give you the instruction on what to do

The phone if you have completed the contract you can unlock it and it worth more because then you can use it with any carrier.

Contract was over a long time ago. I have had it for nearly 3 years under an employee account. I bought it outright. We have since transferred all employee accounts into private accounts.
