The Blueberry is one of the healthiest fruits in the world. The sweet, juicy fruits, as well as being high in vitamin C are also packed with anti-oxidants, which defeat bladder and cystitis problems, and compounds that reduce cholesterol. Our seeds are produced from the berries of different cultivars of heavy-fruiting plants, and the ones you grow will include early and late fruiting varieties and display a diversity of different habits. Grow plants either in pots, or in ground enriched with plenty of peat or acidic compost for best results.

Sowing advice: Sow seeds on a peaty compost and cover thinly with vermiculite or fine sand. Keep seed tray in a bright, cool place at about 10 degrees Centigrade, and ensure that it does not dry out. Seeds are slow to germinate. Thin out seedlings into 3 inch pots and grow on until 6 inches high, before planting out in large pots or peaty soil which will ensure best cropping.
