On October 13, 2006, the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) introduced its newest commemorative circulation coin. The 2006 25-cent Medal of Bravery coin pays tribute to everyday Canadians who risk their lives to save or protect others. The coin was presented at Rideau Hall, following the ceremony honouring this year’s recipients of the Cross of Valour, the Star of Courage and the Medal of Bravery
