The listing, Flute has ended.
Flute bought brand new 15 years ago. Used for only 3 years while in middle school band and has been in storage. Needs some repairs but is in good condition. Comes with case. You will need to buy the cleaning supplies at a local music shop.
It needs to be tightened up some of the buttons are loose but it has everything. I only used it for 3 years when I was in middle school. It was bought brand new. It also needs a cork on the end piece where one of buttons are.
What repairs need to be done and does it have any tarnish/rust anywhere? Also, since you say cleaning supplies need to be purchased, does this mean just the solution, or do you not have the original cleaning rod and cloth that comes with the flute? Watching for sure!
No it does not have any rust or tarnish on it at all. As for cleaning supplies yes you need to purchase the rod, cloth, and the solution. It does need some tightening up and there is a cork on the foot piece that needs reattachment but I think that is about it.
One other question, why is your flat-rate so high for this item? I've seen other flutes listed, and they ship on average for $6 - $8. Do you ship UPS?? (That would be awesome)
Awesome! Easy fixes, that after years of playing, I can do myself. I got tied of taking it in and paying to have it done, so I asked them to show me what they were doing, they did, and I've yet to take a flue in for minor repairs again! I had to sell mine for money when I lost my job, so now I'm looking to replace it. I hated to do it, but when you have rx's and need food, well, you can't eat a flute! lol And the UPS would be awesome. That kind of shipping would be around $20, give or take a few bucks, but even USPS is good for me too. The case protects it well and it will ship nicely just wrapped in bubble wrap and then wrapped in paper bag thickness wrapping paper and a lot of tape! Keep that in mind in case anyone else bids and wins. That will be a LOT less for shipping & if your shipping lowered, you may actually get more bids. Best on here is free shipping, but not with everything. Just some advice from what I've observed. I'll finally be listing my first auctions soon, so I'll be going through all this myself. Good luck! :)
