I dont know much about pearls I am fairly certian they are real but to know between fresh and salt? These are from 2 generations of handed down from my godmothers mother originally but exactly how old again I am unsure. stamped jcm 10kt.

looking at the pic next to the ruler, each pearl is about 1/5 of an inch long or 5mm. You measure them by looking at the length of each pearl (which is the same as the width since they're almost round.).
