Well, they were around before then & mine was different. I think you may be right. I'm not sure. It could be 50's or earlier.
Mine was used. All my toys were used so I don't know how old it really was.

The magnajector 'magnifies' an item for you. Place it over a drawing, coloring book, etc and the image is projected onto a surface in front of the viewer...on a wall, etc.. I hope this is helpful.
