Just a couple questions:

1) Did someone just paint or plate the P on their own? Or was it minted that way?

2) What does "1/2 a wheat line" mean?

3) By "complete set" do you mean that only 3 types of pennies were minted in 1953? If not, what do you mean?

(1( the 1953 (p) is a penny minted at Philadelphia mint but it does not have a mint mark on coin. some one has dipped or painted the silver color to it
(2) on the back of cent , there are wheat straws and wheat lines means the coin has not worn away all the lines in between the straws So I mean that you can see about half of the wheat lines and half are worn away
(3) most years, the mint made a Phil cent. D Denver & s San Francisco cent for circulation I mean by a complete set is you will get 1953 p, d & S mint marked cent.
That is what is needed for #2 penny book starting in1941.

Now I have a question for you
