It comes with stuff like a user guide and a dictionary and also a kindle does connect to the internet. If you could open something up on it, it should prove that it is in good working condition. I was just curious. Ignore me if I'm a bother.

It is a 2012 Kindle ( 5 Way Controller ) yes it took a charge. I've had it for 1 year's and it's never been used.
