Description

The listing, Purple Amethyst-like Pave Diamond CZ Rhodium-plated Ring - Free Shipping has ended.

I am giving away a clear and purple (amethyst-like) Cubic Zirconia, Rhodium-plated ring, size 7. Although the ring has a tag stating that it's 14K gold-plated, it's actually rhodium-plated, not gold-plated. Believe it or not, rhodium is actually more expensive and rare than gold! A solid rhodium ring costs almost 10 times more than a solid 24K gold ring! Please refer to this link for more info. about rhodium metal: http://www.lushaejewelry.com/jewelry-jad.asp?p=Jewelry-Metals Listia places a space between the last l & s. You must remove the space for the link to work. Rhodium does not tarnish.

The white CZ stones sparkle like diamonds (clear and white....not rainbow- colored), and the purple stone in the middle looks like it's amethyst! The small stones on the sides really look like diamonds.

Comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. S&H is FREE in the U.S.!

I will only ship to addresses that have been verified via Listia's shipping address rules (check out Listia rules: Shipping Addresses section or go directly to the form at: http://www.listia.com/account/addresses) & that have been sent to me directly through Listia (& not through e-mail), which can be done after the auction ends. If you are not willing to send me your shipping address directly through Listia, then I cannot ship this to you.

Shipping to US will be done via First Class mail & includes tracking & is FREE. If you live in another country, I will ship internationally on the condition that shipping this ring does not violate customs (some countries will not allow me to ship jewelry to the country....depends on the country). If I have to to ship to another country, then S&H will probably NOT be free because S&H from the the U.S. to other countries w/ tracking is expensive. Please contact me prior to bidding (& send me your international address) so that I can quote you a rate & make sure that I can ship this to you without violating your country's customs laws. I will not ship to Italy.

Why would a company put a tag on it that says 14k when it's rhodium?

Good question! I was trying to figure that one out myself. The company that I bought it from sells thousands thousands of rings to places like QVC and Avon. I think that this ring was extra inventory and probably got mislabeled. But, all of the jewelry that the company sells is either 14K gold plated (well, so they say. I actually know that the gold is a higher grade than 14K because I have a gold tester and almost every ring that I have tested with it that I bought through the company has been 22K gold plated, according to my gold tester....I'm not putting that on the listing, though, because the label says 14KG and it's a lot to explain to people).

Anyway, I know that this ring is rhodium-plated for two reason: 1. the company only sells rhodium-plated or gold-plated jewelry and 2. I tested this ring with my gold tester (along with some other rhodium-plated jewelry), and it indicated that it was rhodium, which means that the test results were the same. Basically, my gold tester is only designed to test gold and platinum. But, when I test it with rhodium, I receive a faint read-out, and it's the same for all rhodium. I do not receive a read-out with any other metals (the device doesn't react to steel, nickle, sterling silver, metal alloys, etc.). My gold tester also indicates whether something is plated or solid. Well, I hope that this super long comment answered your question.

I will be going away on vacation for 4 days to Mexico tomorrow, and I won't be checking my e-mail or Listia as often, so if you have any questions or comments, it might take me a little longer to respond.

By the way, the purple stone in this ring is kind of light-colored (like in the first picture). It really does look like amethyst. I just wanted to clarify in case anyone has a question about it.

I'm back from my vacation! And, I posted better pics. I was in a hurry to get this listed before my vacation, so the first set of pics that I posted are OK, but aren't that great. Now, they are much better (although the stone appears blue in these pics, it's actually a light purple amethyst color).
