Hand-gathered vibrant live moss and lichens! They will come with roots (rhizoids) and a bit of soil still attached in a protective plastic box.

Great for making terrariums, vivariums, flower or decorative arrangements, bonsai or anything else your imagination comes up with! However these are not suitable for underwater aquarium environments.

Procured by hand from my wooded property in Central Virginia. Carefully packaged and shipped Priority Mail. Not every batch will be the same, but each will include a variety of different items of high quality as illustrated in the many photos above.

The plastic box I generally use for shipping is a Chinese take-out container that runs about 6"x9" and I pack it full of goodies. The mosses are lying on damp paper towels sealed in the plastic box. On top of the delicate lichen & mosses, I use dampened reindeer moss (which is very lightweight and cushy) as the "packing material" to keep them in place in the box. I groom the mosses by cleaning up leaves, sticks, small stones, etc. before packing so what you receive is pretty much ready to place in a terrarium or whatever you plan on doing with them. I lay the reindeer moss clean-side DOWN onto the top of the mosses. When you open the box, it won't look as pretty because you'll first see the dirtier, bottom-side of the reindeer moss. Gently remove it and the other moss & lichen are underneath, clean, pretty and ready to plant!!!
