I got these as a gift several years ago, but I don't have pierced ears...so these have never been worn. Just been sitting in the box, still like new. I don't know much about the gold, I do know they aren't fake, won't turn you green or anything. They are really cute, I'm sure you'll love them!

I sure don't. Sorry. Maybe that means its fake? I figure it must atleast be gold plati have a necklace to match which i do wear and never had any issues with it turning me green
