This antique paper weight was a souvenir of THE ETHNOLOGY BUILDING at the Pan-American Exposition. The Pan-American Exposition was in Buffalo, NY in 1901. The paper weight measures 4" long, over 3/4" thick, 2-1/2" wide. Solid clear & colorless glass, the Pan-American Exposition was a World's Fair held in Buffalo, New York, United States, from May 1 through November 2, 1901. The company making the photo on this glass weight is on the back and from New York. Paperweights were advertising souvenirs and novelties. The solid glass is over 3/4 inch thick and ribbed under the weight for light effect. One small corner of the photo is missing as shown. A few minor age scratches on the surface(can be buffed out) This paperweight weighs 9 ounces.
