What are they stamped on bottom.
i am looking for USSR, I started collecting pieces with that on bottom of items. These are nice first time I seen a set of these my first grade teacher had a set. That was 69 years ago. I loved the story she told with them of course she made it up. But have loved nesting dolls since then

There is nothing stamped on the bottom. Looks like someone painted the bottom black at some point over the years. I bought them in Germany about 25 years ago and that's how they were then.
