Jack Dempsey Needle Art White Quilt Blocks. There are 5 of the advertised 6 blocks in this package. Someone must have started one of them, and it got separated from the 5 remaining in the package.

These blocks are 18" squares, 50/50 Cotton/Poly blend broadcloth, appears to be about the same weight as quilting cotton or a new bed sheet. On each of the 5 squares there is the shown pattern, #54 "Cross-Stitch Stars" stamped on each one.

You could work each of these in one color of floss, or in many colors I didn't find nay instructions in the package, but I'd say it's pretty self explanatory, make an x on every stamped x...grin.

Since 18" is a common pillow case size, I think these would make fun pillows, backed by another piece of fabric. Great gift idea!! It might be fun to dye the fabric another color, but I'm not sure what you would do to preserve the stamped pattern, since it is meant to wash out, and if you stitched it first, you would dye the floss with the fabric, although if you thought it out carefully, and test dyed the floss, you might end up with something cool!
