Description

The listing, Comfy Fitted Slippers Pattern has ended.

This is my original pattern for "fitted" slippers. They fit snug and warm around the foot, and there is comfortable heel shaping, too. Anyone who has ever gotten a pair of these slippers adores them, and I am always asked to make them as gifts.

You will receive a PDF file of the pattern, not the slippers themselves. Made with worsted weight yarn, this is simple pattern that's great for beginners. No shipping fees since I will email you a PDF file within 24 hours of winning. Good luck!

very nice slippers..I hate the big bulky type..these look like they would work well in ice skates or even boots..fanned you

Yes, these slippers would fit inside skates or boots, especially if they were made with a #3 weight yarn. The pattern includes S,M,L women's sizes and it's simple enough for the experienced crocheter to change it up as needed. Also, I fanned you back :)

I do love a great pattern! Hoping to start on these VERY Soon, if I win of course! Will you be posting this pattern again on here for anyone who misses out on this one? Thanks and they look GREAT!!! Also, would redheart supersaver work on these?

The yarn used in the picture is a Red heart self-striping yarn, so super saver would be just fine. I hadn't considered listing the pattern again but yes, I most likely will do that now that you mention it :)

Can I ask if they come up high on the ankles? I had surgery on the inside of my ankle and I want a pattern that is a bit lower than normal shoes so it wont rub. It looks somewhat low cut on the ankle but I wanted to check just in case? Thanks again!

They are low on the ankle, and the pattern is very simple to adjust if you need them even lower.

Hmm, I was going to bid on these, but then I realized I could get the same pattern without spending even any listia credits by going to this web page: http://gastcraft.typepad.com/blog/2011/05/crochet-basic-fitted-slippers.html
That's pretty trashy to sell what's free elsewhere.

I wasn't trying to be trashy at all. The pattern got good reviews there so I decided to take it down and try to sell it. Sometimes I don't get technical things right and i thought I had taken it down. It's no longer up for free.

You know it doesn't matter if it was listed somewhere else for free or not....maybe some people would rather spend the credits then spend hours searching through websites. You will find a lot of people on Listia do this and most people still bid on it because they do not want to waste their time. However if you want to talk about people being "trashy" go find the people on here offering "rare" flower seeds to some of our older citizens on here that do not realize this person has enhanced the colors with a Photo Shop program. Now that is trashy not this lady who is offering a pattern that really exists.

If I had the credits I would bid on it even though I knit not crotchet.

Oh and I went and looked at the site you were talking about and it is this womans site so she darn well can offer her OWN pattern if she wants. Geesh.
