Hi, would you be willing to provide delivery confirmation if winner pays for that. it does make a difference between whether or not some will bid ( mail theft!!) thank you!
Apr 9th, 2010 at 5:22:27 AM PDT by

Oh of course. Delivery is actually the sellers responsibility so not including delivery confirmation and insurance is a risk that only the seller is really responsible for. I don't always include insurance but on higher priced items I almost always get delivery confirmation. That way even if it's lost/stolen or the recipient decides to just lie, I'm covered to some extent.

I have Motion Cameras set up but I'm looking for something that records the monitoring of my premises while I'm away or even hook up to the internet so I can look online to see whats going on in my home while I'm away..WIll this work?

Well, I used to install DVR systems and such a couple years ago but I'm pretty sure this wont do what you are wanting by itself. You'd need to still get a DVR type box to connect this to in order to get it to stream online and to be practical and record for extended amounts of time.
This is just a pocket cam. A very advanced pocket cam being 1080p and better than the flip video cams and such but it's not really a home security system. You could totally set it up to record while you're gone but I think you'd need more to make it stream that video remotely.

Here is link directly to Kodak's website for this product. The "support" links are on the right for firmware upgrading and more info...

1.06 - This firmware version provides WINDOWS 7 compatibility and improves the following features: Audio recording and playback; Digital Zoom; User Interface; Video quality in low-light conditions.
Some good stuff
Apr 5th, 2010 at 8:51:01 PM PDT by
Original
Yes. 1.03 is not the newest, meaning it still has some bugs, which 1.06 fixes. Thankfully, there was a genius at the Kodak team, who said "Hey! Let's make the Firmware able to be updated!"

So you can just upgrade it. Unlike many handheld gadgets.

Ah cool. yeah that is pretty cool. Thanks for the info. I'm normally on top of updating this kind of stuff. I'll have to check my other things to see for updates

lol, well I guess I always worry about my cellphones firmware or computer stuff being up to date but I never really though about the firmware on this...Does it tell you anything good or bad about it?
Apr 5th, 2010 at 7:42:37 PM PDT by
Original
Any way of knowing what the Firmware Version is?
Apr 5th, 2010 at 7:26:29 PM PDT by
Original
Not really sure but in the settings there is a "i" for like information and it shows a small picture of the camera kind of with 1.03 and a picture of a computer/keyboard with 562 if that makes any sense...

Would it be like a 5 mp camera?
Apr 5th, 2010 at 10:28:28 AM PDT by

The stills are 5 mpand the video is up to 1080p 30fps

Is this considered a digital video camera as opposed to analog or whatever the older ones are?
Apr 5th, 2010 at 10:27:14 AM PDT by
Original
This is a digital video camera... I'm pretty sure this is 100% digital but I don't like to talk in absolutes because there may be an analog audio connection or something. You may want to just google something like that and research more for yourself as I'm not expert.

It charges with the USB that's built into it... To get an A/C adapter or something else I guess you could check ebay or the internet.

Why do you keep giving away perfectly good electronics?
Apr 4th, 2010 at 8:22:47 AM PDT by
Original
To get other electronics I'll use more!? I actually won this on Listia a while back and my wife took it to San Fransisco on a work trip, went to the golden gate bridge and all kinds of stuff and didn't even use the video camera once. I used it once at the beach but haven't done anything with the footage so I just decided I'm not of a videographer and someone else could use it more than me. I have a few more electronics I think people will be excited for too!
I'd rather get some PS3 games or Nintendo or something different.
