The listing, 1948 $100 "Flyer's Talisman" Coin/Token has ended.
This has to be one of the neatest coins I've seen in a long time!
From "Commercial Benefit Insurance Company" it is a Flyer's Good Luck Talisman.
It's dated 1948 (67 years old) & apparently was issued to policy holders.
One side says: "Good for $100 Emergency First Aid Hospital Treatment During 1948."
Other side says: "For Financial Assistance in Event of Bodily Injury Caused by Aviation Accident."
There is an engraved Policy No. 1 760.
Even a four leaf clover!
It also has an old phone # 5-4728 & says Phoenix, Arizona.
It measures approx. 1 1/4" in diameter. I don't know what kind of metal it is (maybe copper?) but it is not magnetic.
Thanks for your interest & happy bidding! : )
