unless they are underglaze powders, then they are not fired after application. They are merely applied in layers and sealed with fixative between layers.

Hi again. These are new to me. I Googled and came across conflicting info. Are these used for primarily decorative items, or can they be used for utilitarian items which will be used for food (and washed) as well? I know Amaco has some underglaze pencils which I've been wanting to try, and they came up under my search as "chalk underglaze pencils". What have you used them for?

Also, what do you usually fire these at? Cone 6?

Thanks again. ☆

was never really sure...my mom's best friend used them on her bisque pieces. but I have never used them. As for the firing cones, we only used a computerized automatic kiln, which didn't require cones.

What temp is it capable of being fired to?

I don't know...these were left in my mom's shop things when she passed away about 3 years ago. I never really knew how they were used or why just that mom said Shelly used them on her bisque-ware. Sorry don't know much else. :(

I'd like to try them, & do some experimenting... Would it be possible to start bidding higher and offer free shipping?
