"I Want to Live is a really good book. I like this book because it tells you what it's like to have cancer. I don't think this book could be any better. If you were looking for a book I would recommend this one especially if you were a girl. "

"i have read all of the lurlene mcdaniel books and i loved all of them!this one really got my attention though!its about a girl named carrie.her parents just got a divorce and it was tearing her up.Carrie was diagnosed with leukemia and went to a support group.there she gets to know keith gardner.his family becomes quitte close to carrie.keith gets an x-ray and finds he has a tumor in his stomach."

This review is from: So Much to Live For (Companion To: Six Months to Live) (Mass Market Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed I want to live. I could really relate to Dawn, having a sister who has acute lymphocytic leukemia. I have seen and made friends with many people like Dawn and I have found their thoughts and feelings to be similar to those in the book. McDaniel's plot is exceptional and I found the book to be very heart-touching. Keep 'em coming, Lurlene McDaniel!
