Description
The listing, 1913 Type 1 Dateless Buffalo (Indian Head) Nickel has ended.
Up for auction is one 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel from a roll. You will receive the coin pictured. This coin grades about FR02. The date has worn off due to heavy circulation. This coin is uncleaned. The coin will come in a reclosable bag. Also included will be a new, unused nickel size cardboard coin flip. Shipping will be in a 4.125" x 9.5" standard #10 envelope. I will ship on the next business day. Ships only to verified addresses.
For the first year of issue, the Buffalo Nickel was produced in two distinct types. The original or Type 1 design features the buffalo standing on a raised mound. The revised or Type 2 design features the buffalo standing on a line of plane. The main purpose of the redesign was to place the inscription “FIVE CENTS” within a recessed area so it would not wear away quickly in circulation.
