The piece looks flat in the photo, it is not the only way i can think to descibe is if you stood at the beach and watched the up and down waves, that is what it reminds me off! it is very smooth and has a beautifl shine, with very nice colors of veins running through! it is a nice heavy solid piece with a size of 2 1/4 length and 2" across, the front and back are almost the same except with color variations with the veins running through! nice piece for yourself or a wonderful gift!
