Thank you for your interest. No, there is no chip before the eye of any other place that I can tell. It is an indentation mark from the mouth and tusk. I try to be very careful when it comes to flaws in the items that I offer. It really bothers me when I bid on an item and then when it arrives at my home it has problems that were not revealed. Actually, I won't hardly offer anything that isn't about perfect. If there is a problem I fix it.if I can't it usually doesn't get offered.
