Don't leave them on when bathing, and keep them clear of cosmetics, and hairspray. At the end of the day, just use a damp cloth and wipe them down, before storing them away.

My mom taught me that. I have plated rings, that look new, but are 10 years old...
Hairspray can build up on your rings, and trying to scrub it off ruins the finish.
I spend a less time cleaning them....And more time wearing and enjoying them..

It means they are not solid sterling...They just have a heavier layer of 925. Normal plating is usually 1 layer. Overlay has several layers of 925 silver... It will be prettier for a lot longer..And if you take care of them, they can last a lifetime....Hope that helps!
