Isn't this the larger type and not the handi or mini cam

This is the Mini DV Handycam it takes the 3 inch tapes (that you could put into a special made larger VHS tape for a VCR) It is a replacement battery, However its a bigger battery then the factory and lasts longer...I understand about the outings and stuff and I would suggest buying another replacement if they are long outings but I do know that there are some usb/car chargers avail. on some sites so you can charge it in your car!

Right but the battery is it SONY brand or a replacement type. There should be a number similar to NP-FP50 and so on..:) That's a SONY battery number for certain models of SONY. We will eventually get this auction rolling...LOL

That's totally different than mine. Your cam is totally different model too.Did you try to uplug and try to record
May 27th, 2015 at 11:40:04 AM PDT by
Original
Ok I just did, It records fine, right now the battery is at 37 mins, I want it to charge all the way and let it record till its dead to see how long it lasts!!
May 27th, 2015 at 11:50:45 AM PDT by
Original
Please unplug the camera now and record with it and let me know if the battery allows you to do that and have it off charge cable too...If it works like this it will hold charge
May 27th, 2015 at 11:36:39 AM PDT by
Original
It doesnt have a charge cable, the battery charger is a unit that you put the battery in and plug it to the wall! Its very portable!
May 27th, 2015 at 11:52:38 AM PDT by
Original
girl if that is original battery in that camera and it says sony on battery I will be happy to know it charges and holds charge..because that is usually what happens to these cams and no one wants them because the replacement batteries don't work too good..mine didn't anyway. And SONY no longer makes the original battery for these anymore.Did you know that. That is what I read online and then I ordered replacement batteries which did not work in my sony cam..thats why I want this one..my sony mini cam is model DCR-HC36..it needs battery..I am just shot out of the saddle all the time..LOL
May 27th, 2015 at 11:35:14 AM PDT by

I completely understand the whole battery issue, Yes I know they dont make them anymore....My original went bad and had to buy several different ones, so far the battery I have is great! I have not had any issues with it,,, But I have only used it twice...and its been stored with the battery off the camera..so Im going to fully charge it and see how long it lasts!
May 27th, 2015 at 11:41:10 AM PDT by

If I only knew the battery number on the back of your battery might help me to get some answers. Is it using he original battery that was bought with the camera? I;m sorry about asking so much..I just want to get one that I can use and not look at it..know what I mean
May 27th, 2015 at 11:30:35 AM PDT by
