Up for grabs is a 1915-D Buffalo Nickel, which has gone through a process to restore the date and some of the details on it, and while there was a form of acid involved, there were also extra steps taken to prevent deterioration afterwards.

This would make an excellent filler for someone's collection that is tired of seeing the empty spot where this would go, or if they want something there until a perfect one comes along that they can afford. Either way, this is a semi-tough coin to get, and perhaps it will help somebody out.
