The listing, Korean War Memorial, Plate Position GIN Available has ended.
Up for auction is the very nice, MNH mint never hinged stamp: Korean War Veterans Memorial Stamp!
Look at the image and then read this, it's very moving!
Starting credit.... ZERO ! : )
The memorial stamp features nineteen stainless-steel statues of servicemen from the army, the marines, the navy, and the air force. Shown marching in a wedge formation as if on patrol, these statues represent an ethnic cross section of the United States. The photograph on the stamp shows the memorial just before dawn and shrouded in heavy snow that fell during a storm in January 1996.
This stamp honors the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, which recognizes the sacrifices of those who served during the Korean conflict. The year 2003 marks the 50th anniversary of the armistice that ended the hostilities.
Paper:
pressure-sensitive adhesive meaning it's not like the older stamps with original sticky shiny gum, it has a back paper, just like a sticker.
