I know all of that. What I'm saying is that there are people that have fake SD and we don't want these to be used for fakes. Typically those people just slap a badge on a pet that isn't trained so Fido can go everywhere with them. That's what I was saying.

As a SD owner I beg of you to make sure that these only go to legitimate SD users. The last thing we need is the morons that think oh I can just say my dog is SD and take it with me everywhere getting these into their possession

I am also a SD owner/handler/trainer this badge is not certification it is notification. In the US you are not required to have your SD "certified" and all of the different service dog registries that ask you to pay for your certification without vet clearance, temperament testing are just taking money from you. All you need is a legitimate ailment or disability a doctor's letter, a dog that is trained and socialized properly, badges and cards to let the business owners to allow the dog access. Thank you

If the doctor recommends a dog for your son's autism and the dog is obedience trained, vet cleared and bonded with your son to alert and help him during stressful times then that is all you need. Some States require they wear a vest with badges at all times while working but even with states that do not it is a good idea so you avoid the questions and drama.
