This cool portable scanner allows you to zip through books, scanning the pages right into the scanner for later upload to you computer via memory chip or cable. It works in color or mono and has a 32 GB memory chip capability. It works on 2 AA batteries, which are good for 200 pages of scans.

These are highly rated on Amazon. They all list the model number as SVP PS410 but I think it's the same thing as Sears sells the SVP-4100 at about the same price.

I'm selling this because I discovered my All-In-one scanner is good enough for the work I need. Here are the specs from Amazon:

Ahh...Well my credits are, yikes!, in the negative range at the moment, so I can't afford it. Will take that option under advisement when I get back out of negative territory. (You can get into negative territory if you use up your credits buying things and then have to refund someone when you have no credits. Listia allows this but has safeguards to minimize the occurrence of it...)

It comes ready to use and a booklet to explain how to use it? Do you include the software with it? Sounds like a great item for my sister who typed are family history years ago and now needs to put it on her computer to send to some of the family.
