Monkey faced orchids are some of the most intriguing and captivating ornamental flowering plants that money can buy. And why wouldn't they be when they are one of the few plant genera than can look back at you when you look at it!

I have started a few seeds but they are just sprouts right now. My Aunt is growing these in her greenhouse, they have flowered for her. She is where I got the seeds from.

I tried to find a good link but all I found was sellers. There were several suggestion. One was to germinate them. couple different ways there. But what I did was get a piece of rotting wood and place several seed pod over it, break them open (not real easy because they are small) cover them with fresh moss, them keep wet until the moss stops absorbing and stays moist. Then just water when it starts to dry. I don't have it by any other plants and it is sitting on my window sill. I do have little baby sprouts right now :)

If you google monkey face orchids you will find all the information you need. That is why I asked if you personally have started them from seed. It says the seed is too small to count. It also says that like most orchids you need a set up of agar solution, flasks and all of the rocket science needed to start them. They say it is not easy. And this was from every credible site I could find.

I would love to think I could be successful. I just don't know. Good Luck!
