The almond, or eye shape is necessary because Herkimers are double terminated. Jewelry made to encompass Herkimer Diamonds, while not unheard of, are fairly rare. This is the first that I have personally seen aside from those offered at the Official Herkimer Diamond website (in Herkimer, N.Y.) Quite an interesting listing, I'll certainly be watching, and perhaps bidding!
