I am definitely worried.....is this the same exact ring?
https://www.listia.com/auction/24658282-amethyst-italian-sterling-silver-925
and did the ring your are selling come from jared's since the ring comes in that box I assumed it was purchased from there. Do you have the certificate of authenticity since you know such detailed info like the number made?
I will appreciate your input. Thanks.

I just went and looked at the ring from China you linked and all I can say is the market and listia are flooded with fakes, copies of quality designer pieces. Italian silver will most always have a "Italy" stamp on it along with its silver quality stamp. Since mist of the silver comes from there so that should flag people immediately about this ring you showed me. I can tell you I believe the sides look different on my ring as far as the setting and the color of the amethyst in mine are the actual color of amethyst not like in the photo of the other ring I saw. 99% of what's coming out of China and Japan is silver plated with man made stones. People need to think "you get what you pay for" Theres not a company in the world that's going to sell a solid sterling silver ring for less then they could scrap it for. Real sterling silver and gem stones do not sell for the prices people are getting these rings for and unfortunately our import stations and custom officers are not testing these "stamped" fakes that are coming over in boat loads. I will say if you win this ring and are unhappy with it you can return it for a refund.

It's just that I was looking for a high quality ring like this one according to your description and my assumption it was originally purchased at Jared's Jewelry Store. I already have lots of good-looking costume rings but the low quality of them does not hold up with time if I wear them at all. Would this ring hold up well after wearing it for lots of special occasions? Thanks so much for providing info.

This ring didn't come from jared it came from a boutique that buys only free trade products. And yes it is a very good quality. It's sterling so it will only ever need to be polished and if you'd like to clean the stones a little toothpaste on an old toothbrush does wonders. This ring will last forever though.

Thank you so much for your response. It is difficult to know origins when you buy in the second hand business so I'm always uncertain since I am no expert. I've just been disappointed a lot so I'm trying to ask more questions. I appreciate your answer. Wish it had come from Jared's instead of a free-trade boutique but I bid to win upfront. Thank you very kindly for your offer of a refund. I've crossed paths with you before and never had any reason to be unhappy. Thank you my friend ;D

I'm not trying to give you a problem but look at this auction:
https://www.listia.com/auction/24854296-stunning-amethyst-925-silver-plated-ring
It also looks EXACTLY like this ring. I am so afraid that testing will prove it to be plated and I did bid a whole lot of credits up front. Would you mind looking at his auction also to verify this ring is not identical to that one too? thank you sosoooo much.
