Description

The listing, Set of 4 Wool Dryer Balls has ended.

This listing is for a set of four dryer balls in your choice of SOLID colors. I have many colors to choose from, the pictures give a sample. You can let me know what you're interested in and I will let you know if I have that color available.

They are made from 100% wool and measure about 8 inches circumference (slightly more or less due to the natural result of being handmade). They are slightly smaller than a tennis ball. I make them with a combination process of wet felting and needle felting.

Looking for a way for your family to be a little "greener?" Wool dryer balls help save time and money! They are a great natural alternative to fabric softeners and dryer sheets. Dryer balls fluff your clothes as they tumble in the dryer, making them softer, dry faster, and reduce static. A set of 4 dryer balls can reduce the dry time of a small load of laundry by up to half and a large load by about 15 minutes. That 15 minutes adds up over time! Also, the more balls you add, the better! I like to keep about 10 balls rolling around in my dryer.

*Wool dryer balls are GREAT to use with cloth diapers!*
Some fitteds and AIOs take up to 2 hours to dry in a dryer! Instead use dryer balls - they will not cause repelling issues, will reduce dry time, and make your fluffies extra fluffy!

These are AWESOME natural toys for kids and pets. My children (age 1 and 3) LOVE to get into my stash and play catch or put them in and out of bowls. Wool balls are soft and have a little bounce and are perfect for indoor play. Great for helping teach colors, and they can also be embellished with numbers or letters for extra learning possibilities.

I have been wanting some of these! Definately watching! I used to play with these as a kid and just found out they can be used in the drier. (PS- I think it is against the rules to list your etsy shop in your auction, right? I am new to Listia, and I haven't been mentioning my Etsy shop because I thought it wasn't allowed...)

Good Luck! After rereading the rules, I can not find anything prohibiting the mention of your etsy site or store site in general. I have seen many WAHMs give their sites address, especially when listing their new and sometimes custom wares. I think many list their products here to help get their names to people interested.

We have 8 of these we use for diapers, but I'll be watching yours to add a little color (ours are all natural/beige color). I'll probably get yellow.

Yay for cloth diapers! :) I know they're not seen often, but it makes me smile to see my colorful rainbow of little helpers. lol

Wow...neat idea. Never heard of such a thing! What is a WAHM? and an AIO? And repelling issues? Sorry, don't know alot about green issues, yet.

WHAM= work at home mom
The others are cloth diaper terms:
AIO= all in one type diaper, which is closest to a disposable diaper, with no folding and nothing to stuff
repelling issues refers to when the diapers get a build up of some kind (mostly caused by too much or the wrong kind of detergent or any softener). Then they begin to repel the wetness instead of absorbing- not something you want in cloth diapers ;)

ok. Where did you see that? I read all the rules and did not see it saying that anywhere. I want to follow the rules, but honestly thought it was fine. I can't go back and edit anything now, since people bid so I hope they don't remove the listing because of it. I think they should be a little more clear if this is a rule.

It was on the rules page under "Prohibited Auction Items".

ok, thanks. That's kinda disappointing, but oh well. I would take it off the description if I could. If they delete this auction, I will relist it without the links. I hope it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised, since I do see where it is now. I wonder how others can list there sites? I like seeing the sites and think it's a shame it's not allowed.

They won't delete your auction they'll just take the link out. I really need some of these! Been wanting to try them for a while!

That's a relief. I even told on myself. There are several people watching and I'd hate for those who bid to have to find it and start over. Good luck in your bidding!

I have some dryer balls at home and they are AWESOME. I will never, ever use a dryer sheet again. So gross...

Is there any way that the color could bleed onto the wet laundry? (I have been making these too with undyed woo for fear of possible bleeding.)
Sep 19th, 2011 at 6:28:47 AM PDT by
Original
I have used every color I make with my laundry and have not seen any bleeding, even with the dark colored balls in with my whites.

I have 5 wool balls in my dryer right now and absolutely LOVE them! So do my kids and cats, lol. Can you do 4 different colors, or does the winner have to choose all the same color?

They can choose all the same colors, or four different colors, 2 and 2, or whatever they like. :)
