These 1863 - 1888 Vintage
14K SOLID GOLD eyeglasses,

Octagon shaped eyeglasses.

Curved arms that wrap around your ear.

Marked 14k B.R. on the nose.

The arms of the glasses are marked 14K.

Exceptional quality with the lenses still intact.

Light Weight

These glasses cannot have any lenses thicker on the edge than 2mm.

SIZE:
Lenses are 40mm X 29mm length across
The front is 4-1/4"
Temples (ARMS) are 5-1/2"
Bridge opening can be made smaller or larger by bending the GOLD.
Currently it's 18mm.

These eyeglasses will last FOREVER!

Pure gold or solid gold would be 24kt, not 14kt. 24kt makes these about 58% pure or solid gold. Nice eyeglasses, nonetheless.

Thank you. These glasses have been handed down, generation after generation in our family. I am the last to receive them. The history behind these glasses has been told for years. My intentions were to give them to my children to give to theirs, but the laughed and said, "Really Momma! How are you gonna slit 1 pair of glasses with 9 children, without us fighting for them? Can we have a car instead?" I thought about it and it was clearly understood. LOL. Children are to smart now a days. So here they are for my Lisia friends to enjoy. The lenses are free and clear of any prescription. You'll have to add your own. The frames themselves are thin but strong and flexible. They have never been altered.
