The listing, Medieval Buckle 1200's-1400's- Documented and Archived has ended.
Some years ago, I bought a collection from an English gentleman that included some artifacts that he had found with his metal detector. All of the artifacts were archived on a database called the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Each artifact has a description of what was found and where. All of these artifacts have database numbers and can be looked up online. I will be putting these on from time to time.
This is a copper alloy medieval buckle from approximately 12th-14th Century. This buckle measures 21.4mm long, 28.1mm wide and 3.5mm thick. It was found in Cambridgeshire, England. Of course, it is worn being under soil for hundreds of years, but it is an interesting piece to own. Comes with buckle and paperwork.
I am a collector and have collected whatever struck my fancy at the moment. I have gone through a lot of my things and decided to pass them on for someone else to enjoy. I'll be putting on things from stones to roman coins and such. Please keep checking to see what I have. I usually don't list every week though.
