.223 also known as 5.56 Rifle bullet converted into an awesome necklace. These are brass that were shot once out of an AR-15 (M-4 or M-16) refurbished and recycled into necklaces. The brass was polished with a tumbler, deprimed and reshaped back to specs.

The actual bullet that was placed into the brass is a 55 grain ballistic green tip. These tips are one of the most devastating rounds that causes optimal damage to the target.

Because this is a spent round, expect the same consistency of a round fired out of a firearm.

The necklace is made from military grade 550 cord, also known as para-cord. The name 550 cord comes from its payload capabilities which means it can withstand 550 lbs of pressure. The cord is nylon with 7 smaller nylon strings within the black cord. I gutted the cord by taking out the six small strings to give it more flexibility and comfort. It is black in color with no clasps or knots. The length is about 1.5 feet which you can adjust on your own by tying a knot to the back.

I make these as well as other cool items. And for fun, I'm offering free only on Listia!

Good Luck!

As military I must tell you that all the green tip means is that it's a basic regular round. The devastating ones have black tips.
I use these different rounds on a weekly basis

If you are referring to the M855 rounds, no these are not them. Thoughs are steal core NATO rounds. These are Sierra Ballistic rounds. The tip is a separate component that is pushed in the lead during impact much like a hollow point but with a spitzer round trajectory.
Black, green, orange... it does't matter commercially. The color of the tip doesn't make a round any deadlier. It's the ballistics and it's whatever the company decides which color to go with. Sierra chose green, some other companies picked black, etc.
The military uses colors as indicators so the operator knows the type of projectile it is. For instance, red or orange is a tracer round.

Oh ok, my bad. I thought you were stating that these were the M855's. As a veteran and PMC operator, I'd recognize the difference as the M855 is a darker green, painted and runs longer down the projectile than the ballistic tip on the necklace. I'm sure you spotted that and recognized it is in fact a ballistic tip and not the standard, steel core M855.

No, sorry, I had issues with Customs in the past because it's from a real bullet. Even though it's inert.
