Up for auction is a circa 1920s postcard in excellent unused condition. It was published by R. A. Steyert, 332 Sixteenth St., Brooklyn, N.Y. I have not been able to definitely authenticate the date. The only postcards by this particular publisher that I could find, are from that time period.

This is "The Nutshell", and was a small candy and nut shop operated by a Clarence Bicknell (1861 - 1943) in Westerfield (card says near West Chesterfield Gorge), Massachusetts, in the 1920s and 30s. I'm certain that the inset photo is Clarence Bicknell.

This is another card that seems to be in short supply (I haven't seen another with Clarence Bicknell in the shot and only a very few of "The Nutshell"), so it may be rare. Card would be a great addition to any collection of Massachusetts postcards.
