These are unusual cacti, looks like spider legs coming down from my planter. Blooms purple, full sun.

I just started growing cactus and they are sooooo cute when they sprout from seeds. Mine are now a whole 1/8 of a inch tall--lol- but I love them-only 2 grew form all the seeds I had. :( But I am going to keep trying. :) I am fanning you and I am gonna bid as well.

Do they grow upwards or outwards? Are the needles big and frequent or small and infrequent?

Watching for my hungry tortoises :)

They grow outwards, the needles are small and frequent along the inner and outer edges, but they didnt bother me. The seeds are what got me, sharp little suckers! I love tortoises, I saw one at Knotts Berry Farm when I was four and fell in love with him, my dad says I threw a record breaking tantrum when we had to move on...I was just speaking for the Tortoise, he wanted to continue our stare off!
